The entire cast of the 2010 Broadway Rising Stars Concert!

So, Monday night marked my Town Hall debut with Broadway Rising Stars!

The whole process was such a blast and I'm so grateful to have spent that very brief rehearsal time with such incredibly talented and welcoming young artists--I only wish we could put up the show more than once! But it was truly a phenomenal evening, so much support from friends and family and a nearly-full house!
I have never performed before such a large audience before (nearly 1500 seats!) and it was such a rush. I sang "Nothing Really Happened" by Craig Carnelia from Is There Life After High School and feel so blessed to have been able to perform such a beautiful number upon director Scott Coulter's recommendation. We also rocked the house with four group numbers, "The Circle of Life," "Good Morning, Baltimore," "It's Today/All I Need is One Good Break," and "Stand By Me."

The show recieved a great review by William Wolf which you can read here.
And we also got photo coverage from Broadwayworld.com...I only wish they'd caught me when I was looking at the camera!
But as always, on to the next project! Lessons and Carols opens up in Manhattan Repertory's Summerfest this Saturday the 24th! We run Saturday 7pm, Sunday 6pm, and next Thursday at 7pm.

I'm also getting deeper into rehearsals for Abraham's Daughters, going up in the NY Fringe in mid-August. Check out our website here.

So much to update on!
Thanks for reading.

Cheers,
Rebecca
